My rabbit, Jewel, has always been really good about using her litterbox. My original cage setup was a 3.5ft long cage and an attatched x-pen. I moved her to a new play pen (with her litterbox) and she really liked it so I left her there overnight because it was much bigger than her original cage.  When I went back the next morning poo was EVERYwhere. So I put her back in her original cage, but she still pooed everywhere she wanted. Why won’t she use the litterbox anymore and how can I retrain her? It was really easy to train her the first time, but it won’t work now. It’s driving me up the wall!!

Step back and take a deep breath.

This is very typical when you change up a rabbit’s set-up. She is marking her territory. You need to be patient. Overnight is not enough time for her to get used to her new set-up. Simply take the poo’s and stick them in the litter box to start with.
