        Hey everyone –

        My rabiit, baby George, is not responding to food offerings (pumpkin cookies and kale) and upon letting him out to run this morning he huddled in a dark corner and went to sleep.

        This is all EXTREMELY unusual.

        My husband was up late last night with lights on, also unusual, and George’s crate is in this area.

        Think it’s a case of a sleepy bunny or a sick bunny?  I tend to overreact with things, but his sudden personality change and avoidance of his two favorite things have me concerned .  Any advice would help!

        Thank you!

        Julie

          I think it’s sick bunny. Especially since it is a national holiday tomorrow (new year’s) and possible Monday as well, I would call your vet asap and get him seen today. If he is ill, 2 days could be very critical.

            Welcome. : ) He’s a gorgeous little bunny! I just read your profile….I can’t fathom how someone would dump him!

            I don’t think you are over reacting. These changes are the only clues we get.

            Is he sitting hunched up? Are his ears cooler to the touch then normal. Has he been using his litterbox?

              I think going to the vet would be a good idea. Is he drinking?

                Definitely vet time, that’s a sick bunny. Keep us posted and {{Healing Vibes}}

                  Have you been able to get him looked at yet? Probably a vet is available today even if they weren’t over the holiday weekend, despite today being the “national” holiday. Let us know how he is.

                    Healthy vibes for George! I agree that he sounds sick, so I hope you were able to get him into the vet.

                      I agree- sounds like a sick bunny. My bunnies never turn down or not show excitement about new additions of food to their pens- even if they were sleeping.
                      Any update??
