Lilianna ate some pine needles left over from our christmas tree.   Are pine needles ok for bunnies to eat or should I be concerned?

They aren’t toxic but they are sharp and can cause internal tearing if they aren’t chewed properly.

We’ll hope she knew what she was doing and chewed them properly before swallowing!…My bunnies devoured Christmas tree pine needles with no problem for years. But then, Whew – I’d never considered the possibility of internal tearing. Looking forward to seeing pics of Lilianna Rose = if she’s half as pretty as her name, she must be really beautiful!

Keep an eye but should be fine in a small not repeated episode
