We have some almons and hazel nuts and the bunnies keep trying to chew the outter shell of the nuts. Is that okay? I know the nuts are generally too rich for them but what about the shell?

        thanks!

The shells are bad too. The sharp edges they can get when cracked could cause some serious problems if ingested. Keep the shells away from them

Thanks, MB. I agree. If you have any willow treats handy, give them a substitute. Even if it’s not willow, just pop a toy of theirs in front of them and scoop away the shells so they are happily distracted.

Yes, nuts shells are not good. My friend once had a bunny and she gave him nuts, luckily he was fine but she learned her lesson!
