My Buns are the same with chewing on things, but I would try what Beka27 suggested if you haven’t. I got my buns some willow sticks and they LOVE them!

The hay is what helps keep the teeth “ground” down. The other things like willow toys and chew sticks are only for boredom, they don’t help keep the teeth healthy, hay is what keeps them healthy.

Its just so funny to me how much bunnies are like horses. Hay keeps horses teeth grounded down as their molars constantly grow too!! And they have a large cecum just like rabbits!! I just love it… my two favorite pets are one in the same, just one is 1000 pounds smaller, and doesnt kill you with a foot, maybe a stare though

Sarita is right though. Hay is the more prominent form of teeth “grinding” But toys help to some extent, they help keep teeth properly aligned, so if your bun is chewing on the bars of the cage, best to get some boredom toys for the rabbit to chew on so that the alignment of the teeth doesnt go haywire.

My buns like to chew cardboard and willow. I’ve tried all sorts of wooden toys but they couldn’t be bothered with them.

My buns love chewing wood, ONLY if it is non-movable, i.e. wood baseboards. If it is a light-weight “rabbit-sized” wood toy, they have no interest. Now that we built the wood xpen hidey house, they love nibbling on the edges of that. Meadow will sit on top and then bend over to chew on it.

                        Hay is perfect for teeth.

My bunnies love when I play with them, I’ll roll a willow toy to them, or hold it for them, or hold a stick etc-they go bonkers and chew and chew. Try interactive play.

The wood hidey house is a super idea-Beka do you have pictures? What type of wood did you use? How did you fix it all together?
