We’re moving in two weeks, and I’ve got all this blind ambition since we’re going to have more space. I’d like to grow my own wheat grass and a bunch of rabbit-friendly herbs (the idea is to only grow plants that the animals we take in can consume). I came across these seed sprouters on amazion: http://www.amazon.com/Kitchen-Garden-Two-Tray-Alfalfa-Sprouter/dp/B0015ZKESC/ref=sr_1_3?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1324192088&sr=1-3 . For those that have grown wheat grass before, is this the sort of thing I’m looking for? I watched a video before about growing wheat grass and it seemed like he was using something similar.

Also, any advice for successfully growing wheatgrass is appreciated. It should be a no-brainer, right?

That looks about right, there are a ton of good youtube videos on this, but they said to throw the grass out after 1 or 2 clippings because it loses nutrients, and other sites confirmed this but I grew two trays on my windowsill and I didn’t throw it out till I forgot about it and it died.

I had bought already sprouted trays from an organic store though.
