        Catnip is okay for rabbits?!

        https://binkybunny.com/BUNNYINFO/Diet/VeggieList/tabid/144/Default.aspx

I got some when I bought corrugated board things for bun to play with (they were a hit too. he liked to sleep on it a lot at first) and gave it to my mom for her cats.

But are we talking the big plant or the ground up stuff they sell to cats? And does it have the same effect?

I’m not planning on using it anytime soon (I don’t really need my bun any crazier) but this really intrigues me!

        Anyone know?

If it’s on the BB list, I’d trust it. Dried or fresh should be fine. Just make sure there’s nothing else in it if you get the kind from the store.

It is indeed bunny safe Don’t think it has the same effect though… but don’t quote me on that.

It had zero effect on Tait, but that could just be him I buy those cardboard cat scratcher things with catnip for my cat and Tait likes to dig and chew it to

I have a big patch of catnip growing by our deck as it re-seeds itself every year. You can feed it just like you would feed an herb. Does not have crazy effect on bunnies like it does most cats. It is not Cotton’s favorite but she will eat it- and Schroeder eats it just fine. The funny thing is when the bunny eats the catnip and it gets ground by their molars it releases more of the aroma- which the cats enjoy.

So if I understand you, KatmipCrzy, the cats start swooning over the bunny when he breathes on them? Videos please.

that would be pretty interesting. I probably won’t ever have the chance to feed it to him because the only kind you can find here are the mixed stuff from the pet stores for cats and I wouldn’t wanna risk it but I find it interesting that they can ingest with no problem. And katnipcrzy, that would be a cool video

                      LOL PAM!!!

I didn’t know this-!! How cool! I kill plants (it’s like a super power) but they prepackage plants to go so I could totally grow catnip for a while -worth a try
