I am sitting here, feverishly trying to finish a research paper. But I started hearing a strange noise. At first I thought it was the dog in the other room with one of her weird little barks she has when she is dreaming. It’s sort of a soft “berf… berf”. Then I looked over to see Wooly sitting on the floor nearby. He was busy hunching over to groom his hind leg and he was making that noise. How weird is that?

Hahah weird! I don’t know what that is, bunnies are so random sometimes. Was he honking?

Maybe it felt so good he honked at himself haha. I know Tipsy will honk at her stuffed animal and her favorite cat toy on a string, when she hears that shaking noise she comes running gets excited and honks a little, she has become kind of noisy :\ hehe

Hmm, maybe it was honking. That’s not something he normally does. Then again, it didn’t really sound like his typical grunt. You know, the one I get when I’m trying to brush him.

Sometimes buns just like to make noise. I wouldn’t worry about it. He probably was enjoying himself while grooming and I’ve heard some other rabbits making grunts/honks while grooming themselves.

The funny thing is that he was wild with grooming last night, but didn’t make a peep the entire time. Silly rabbit.

Ha.  Maybe he got a new muffler.

Sometimes I hear mine when they twist right around to groom themselves. I think it’s just breath pushing out past the vocal cords or something. If rabbits have vocal cords…lol. I suppose they do.

Smudge makes little grunting noises when she groom herself. Maybe she’s complaining about how much work it is
