Are pine needles toxic or anything?  Besides the wires/lights is there anything I need to be aware of?

tinsel. Don’t use it around wabbits If they nibble on some needles it should be fine, as long as they don’t eat a ton.

Everything I’ve read said keep pine needles away from rabbits. We’re doing a fake tree this year

I would keep your bunny away from the Christmas tree.

This is a great forum question, I never really thought about this until you asked it! I am so used to my apartment and its christmas-less attitude that when I go home theres going to be christmas everywhere! Speaking of christmas, I thought of something, instead of wrapping your christmas presents with typical christmas paper, what about undyed construction paper so that when you unwrap your presents you can roll them up into little balls and stuff hay and goodies in them and give it to your rabbits instead of wasting paper just by throwing it away, and you also have an instant toy!

I’ve recently been hunting for folding childrens playpens for the litter I am rehoming so they can have a good safe running space. I noticed that they are very popular for keeping children and pets away from Christmas trees. If you get one with wide wooden bars the application of some green pet mesh around the outside should solve the problem. It should also protect the gifts from the odd inquisitive nibble.

ahh I didn’t even think of the presents under it!! On a whole my 2 are pretty good – they don’t chew woodwork or really get into anything too much. I will make sure to vacuum around the tree – and make sure they don’t eat it! They mainly like to lay on the couch anyway. Lazy boys.

I do want to get some cute pictures of them infront of the tree though. Really bunnies and a christmas tree – what could be cuter?!
