I know I've been M.I.A for quite a while, but just wanted to post here that tonight I lost my sweet Duncan. 2 days before Thanksgiving, he was diagnosed with cancer. Lymphoma. He has been doing quite well on steroid medication, but last night I came home to find he had taken a bad turn for the worse while I was at work. I knew it was time to let him go and scheduled an appointment for tomorrow morning(earliest they could take him)... I came home tonight from work to find he passed away while I was gone. as much as I am thankful he's in a better place, my heart is broken. Sorry for the short explanation, but I am not feeling up to explaining everything right now.... I'd just really like to ask if you could all please, please, keep his "girlfriend", Demi, in your thoughts. She is doing okay right now, but a bit off and all I'm praying for is for her to get through the loss of Duncan without too much trouble...
Thank you all, you're all wonderful people and I'm grateful I can come here during this time and know Demi will be getting as many good vibes and prayers as possible <3 |

I am so sorry! So much loss lately. I understand the pain of having a bunny with cancer and having to make some tough choices - extremely heartbreaking. I know Duncans passing happened before you were able to take him in - he was able to pass in familiar surroundings and with Demi by his side, and now he is free of any pain and discomfort. Regardless though, I know it is devastating and it will take some time to heal.
I will be sending out peace vibes so Demi will be able to get through the loss of her bonded mate without too much trouble. I know that helped Vivian when Jack passed. She had such a rough time at first
Give Demi lots of extra attention and love and we will be all sending out hugs to both her and you!
Duncan had a wonderful life with you and was so lucky to have such a caring and loving human.

I'm sorry to learn that Duncan crossed the bridge. He went naturally, and it was his time.
You and Demi can comfort each other in your grief and it will help you both. Just snuggle her often and give her a lot of attention. She will let you cry and understands that you miss him too.

aww, I'm so sorry to hear about Duncan's passing, he was such a handsome boy. I know it breaks your heart, but he had a great home and loving family. Special hugs to you and Demi, paying her a lot of attention will help both of you now.

I will add our peace and comfort vibes for you. I cried seeing this post and know that no words can be found to ease the pain, but just know we're thinking of you.
Binky free, Duncan. You're with Dallas again now and both of you can watch over your mum and Demi from Paradise.

I lost Penny to the same cancer when she was about 3 years old. I am so sorry for your loss. |

I just wanted to drop in and let you all know that Demi is doing wonderfully. Eating, drinking, playing. She has bounced back great. She did start nesting almost immediately after Duncan passed, which was interesting.. but she has gotten over that!
