I have two male rabbits that my husband and I got as bunnies. They were best friends and adored each other from their first minute together. We got them fixed when they were 6 months old (a GOOD thing, RIGHT???) But now they HATE each other. We have tried stress bonding. They don’t fight in the car, but the second it’s not moving, they’re at each others’ throats. We now keep them completely sepparated (in different rooms). How can a happy, bonded pair that are both neutered change so much??? Has anyone had an experience like this? Is there any hope?

That’s pretty normal, actually. Being raised together isn’t a “true bond”, its more of a nature thing, and once their hormones hit its extremely common for the sibling/baby bond to break. Neutering was a good step, but now you have to follow through with some bonding methods There is hope, you just have to work on it

I second what Sam and Lady’s Human said about being raised together not being a true bond. Anytime before being spayed/neutered it isn’t ever going to be a “true bond”. How long has it been since the neuters? If it’s been less than a month they probably still have hormones raging through their systems. It might take some time, I wouldn’t give up yet!
