I’ve used a furminator on Olive, but I really didn’t see much in the way of results (then again, she hasn’t been through her first big shed yet, though I notice she loses fur whenever she doesn’t want to be picked up and held for nail trims!).  So I bought a nylon bristle cat brush and tried brushing her with that.  I was disappointed.  No fur came off, or very little fur, plus, it got a bit static-y.  Should I try a wire slicker brush, like one uses on dogs?

I really, really like the Hairbuster comb. It gets off what’s there. But I’ve noticed that during the non-shedding times Sammy has very little fur in the comb after I give her a thorough going over. I think when they shed it all comes off easily, but the rest of the time they keep it if they are shorthaired like your pix shows. Just the long haired bunnies need to be groomed daily with a lot of hair removal.

Stickers hardly ever has fur coming off in noticeable amounts because she is a rex – a little wet hand petting and she’s done, even when shedding. Powder has hair come off quite often, but it isn’t much at one time like with brushing when he isn’t shedding (but boy when he sheds… no amount of brushing helps) and he’s a regular length haired bun. I don’t think it’s that needed to get a lot of fur off, unless your bun is shedding.

Thanks, guys, for the reassurance. My bunny Flip-flop, who I had before Olive and Simon, seemed to perpetually shed. I could pluck a couple rabbits’ worth of fur from her when she did. It was easiest just to pluck her. I haven’t had Olive or Simon go into a moult yet, and am soooooo not looking forward to the house becoming a wasteland of bunny fluff from <> rabbits.

Furminator is great on some dog coats, I don’t really like it at all for the bunnies. I have every brush…every brush-you name it I have it. At least every type I should say-and I find most well…stink!

I pluck with my fingers and other wise use a slicker brush like this:

                I also like this comb

And I shave and cut Kahlua’s hair I’m just not battling with angora type fur!

I know a lot of members here use the hairbuster and like it, I ordered that from BB the other day.
