Mr. Kenny bunny, only when he is on wood floor, scratches the floor once then flops.  Whenever whe here him scratch once we say “He is going to flop” Why does he do that?

          Because he’s Mr. Kenny bunny.

Seriously, we don’t know why some bunnies have certain habits or idiosyncrasies. Sounds like he loves flopping on your wood floor, and like we plump our pillows before going to sleep on them, he just scratches to make it nice for his flop. Sounds cute.

Sounds like when a cat kneads a blanket to “make a bed” before they lay down.

Yeah it does – my dog used to scratch the blanket a couple of times before bed, then turn in place four times before laying down. Sounds like your bun has his own flop ritual.

My bunny does this too, except when he’s on carpet.    It usually means he’s preparing a spot to flop, but sometimes he just seems to like to do a little digging.  I wish he didn’t, but he does…  Silly rabbit.

                  Maybe he’s creating a scrape?
BB has mentioned this a few times on the forums and also in the stores description of the bunny beds.

A scrape is what wild rabbits do before settling into a comfy spot above ground. They dig a shallow pit and sit in it as it keeps them more out of sight.

Or maybe he’s just being a funny bunny. : ) Either way, it gives you a clue when he’s about to flop so ou can get the camera ready.

My Otto does this too and I have no idea why! It’s just one of those silly things, like how dogs will circle before lying down.

No idea. “On your mark, get set, Flop!”
