I bought a giant back of alfalfa and my bun seems to only like the softer, leafy, green alfalfa. Has anyone else experienced their bun ignoring this part????

I dont want to have to sort out the whole bag!!!! lol

        Suggestions???

That’s how alfalfa is – it’s not a grass hay so it’s stemmy with some soft small parts. You should introduce some grass hay like timothy or orchard.

Yes she has timothy hay available 24/7 in her cage i just put some of the alfalfa in a box on the floor so its kind of a treat when she is out playing.
But there is always the hard stems left behind! so picky! maybe i lll try breaking htem up!

I would give them Timothy instead. But how old are they? There is an age limit. You should introdce new things.
