So I was wondering if I should give Thumper a little bit of Petromalt? He’s going through a shed again, and since all I can do is gently pet the fur off of him since I seem to maul him every time I try to brush him, he’s been ingesting a lot of fur. His poops are all strung together, but more than your average barbell poops. I’m talking like 7 or 8 poops all strung together with fur. I know that the fact that he’s passing them is a good thing I was just wondering if I should give him some Petromalt just to make sure nothing gets blocked. Thanks!

Can you damp your hand or a cloth and run that over him? It gets almost as much fur as a brush and it’s very gentle on them. Or a lint roller.

I’ve tried the lent roller – it didn’t really work on him. And I do the damp hand thing now (I meant to say gently pet the fur off of him with a wet hand in my OP but my thought was going faster than my fingers lol) but it’s like I can just get hair and and hair and some more hair and then some more hair and then a little more hair it and will seem like I never even brushed him!! He has a CRAP TON of fur!!! I think he may be part yetti.

The best thing to keep the gut going is hay and activity. Rabbits don’t get “hairballs” like cats do. The reasons for blockages is due to the gut slowing down and petromalt does not help with this at all.
