I am currently using a recycled newspaper litter but its $20 for a bag and doesn’t help with the smell much even though I clean the litter box daily. I didn’t like carefresh ( and neither did he, he threw it out of the box ).

I was wondering if anyone knows anything about Cozy’ N Fresh? This is the description

Cozy’ N Fresh™ Natural Pine Pellets with activated carbon controls more odors and last longer in the cage. The wood carbon is activated in the pellet making process with heat and oxygen.”

It is only $6 for a 20 lb bag so that would be great, if it is safe for him.

If anyone knows any other litters that Tractor Supply carry that would be great. They are the only other animal supplies store besides petsmart, and I find petsmart REALLY overpriced.

I just checked the Tractor Supply website, and they sell a 40 pound bag of wood stove pellets for $4.99. It says select stores only. Several people here have posted that they use this type of pellet for litter and how economical it is. This is obviously the kind of pellets with no accellerants because there was a review from a person who uses it for her rabbit and Guinea pig. There is a new TS store not too far from me and I was thinking of getting these pellets when my current litter is gone. I don’t know anything about Cozy’N Fresh. You can also use horse stall bedding, such as Equine Pine. It’s a pelleted pine that is also economical.

I also don’t know anything about cozy n fresh – pine pellets is fine, as long as there are no added scent controllers / scents etc in it but it sounds like an over priced wood stove pellet anyway. Home depot, lowes, ace hardward, etc etc all carry wood stove pellets depending on area / seasons, as tobyluv mentioned you can also get equine fresh horse stall pellets. Be cautioned though, not every rabbit accepts WSP – my rabbit refused to even enter his litter box as long as they were in there (even if I just put a small handful under his normal litter) and even having the bag of litter in his room caused him to be upset because he could smell it. lol So I would just get one bag first to see if your bun likes it.

The litter I am using now is like yesterdays news ( the pet store here doesn’t sell the yesterdays news brand ), its pelleted recycled newspaper, but its so expensive, but then everything at petsmart is overpriced, unfortunately it is the only pet store here and tractor supply is the only other place that sells a limited amount of animal supplies.
