I wouldn’t, if only for the fact they need tons of it. You’d run out of grass with how fast bunnies can eat. And they need unlimited amounts. Hay isn’t all that expensive if you buy good quality stuff, either from local farmers or feed stores, or online. Pet store hay is nasty.

I’ve read of a couple BB’rs that have acreage and feed their bunnies lawn grass, but I’m pretty sure its in addition to another hay.
I personally haven’t had a problem with pet store hay, my rabbits love oxbow, but I did buy Kaytee Timothy last time to save a couple bucks and its taken a lot longer to go, its def. not their favorite.

Also the grass would have to be dried and that would take a lot of work. They need the grass to be dried to ware down their teeth, specially they back molars.

Pet stores sell Oxbow, so not all pet store hay is nasty. My buns love the botanical hay

I feed mine grass in addition to hay, as a treat. But I wouldn’t feed them grass instead of hay. Plus, you have to be careful to make sure the grass is clean enough.

OH THANKS! i love my hay from the farm. do you guys know if lawn grass has nutrients though? im scared i might not get enough nutrients for veggie time because i usually get dandelion greens, rose leaves, mint leaves, and lawn grass . Sometimes i might get cilantro or bok choy.. So is that good ?
