I emailed our old vet in IL and asked her to send me the xrays from Rini’s march exam after she was limping. Rini is 7 and a half now.

the little bone spurs are most visible on the outsideside of the knee joints in the 2nd pic.

We keep a stock of metacam on hand for whenever her leg starts giving her problems.

Very cool x-rays! I’ve had a few rabbits with arthritis and Toffee has very minor arthritis.

Mimzy’s hip spur is very similar to this, except for that it has grown quickly (almost doubled in size within a few months) and is thicker and more apparent.
What’s Rini’s mobility like now? Mimzy’s always been a lump but it’s gotten worse over the last year or so.

rini still hops around,, no binkies though, and she has trouble making it onto the couch 100% of the time.

her toes are really wonky though,, i dont think its from arthritis, but more from too many divebomb landings in her youth.

Wow! What a stretch! I’d give anything to see Mimz jump like that again. ^_^
I really don’t see anything wrong with her toes in this picture. Am I missing something?
I notice these days Mimz splays his rear legs out when sitting, like he’s redistributing weight off that bad hip. It kills me to see him not be able to boing or flop like he used to either. He’s only four…and I’m not even 50 and yet we both act like a couple of gimps!
                Old age…it’s the s****s!
