Daisy my bunny makes this strange noise from time to time.   Usually when she is just hanging out she will make a tooth grinding noise, but not the normal “crunch-crunch” tooth purrs I’m used to hearing.   It’s at the same quiet volume level as a tooth purr, but it will go on for 5-6 seconds like a tooth purr.   I don’t think it’s pain, because it’s so quiet, but I’ve never heard a pain grind so I have nothing to compare it to.\

            Anyone have any ideas?

Not sure, Lady seems to grind her teeth when I’m snuggling her. I figured its just one of the many happy noises she makes
