For the past couple of days Moxie has been slightly “teary”. I noticed when I went to pet him that there was a little bit of wetness just under his eyes. His eyes are clear, he’s eating tons as usual, very active, etc. But this discharge has me worried. Could it have something to do with being moved to a new cage and location? Perhaps a response to stress? What else could it be? Moxie is 6 years old, neutered, and has never had a health issue in his life aside from a brief brush with stasis years ago (when my well-meaning but ignorant mother decided he needed an entire apple to himself and not just a slice) which we remedied quickly and easily. Thoughts?

Possibly that it could be a new location, maybe just a bit of dust or fur in his eyes?
Biscuit (my 8 year old) gets weepy eyes every now and then, i just get warm water and cotton wool and wipe his face to get rid of any debrey that might be causing the problem if it persists or gets thick etc, vets you go!

Thank you! I was so worried. Still am but they aren’t leaky a now, they just seemed worse this morning. Could cheap mats cause irritation? Maye some chemicals in the rubber bottom?

Yeah possibly, but i highly doubt it, as rabbits are quite hardy things! Keep an eye on it, if it persists or gets thicker take him to the vets, it could be an allergy just like us humans get My rabbit gets it every so often, it doesnt seem to bother him, he just sleeps it off ^^
