Hi I was wondering I am going to bond four of my bunnies. However two of the bunnies are already bonded and the other two have not even met eachother. Oh and the two that are bonded are male and female and the two that are not bonded are male and female.

Are all of the rabbits now spayed or neutered?

Well I have 6 bunnies but the reason that I am only bonding four is because only four are spayed and neutered.

I would just start them out individually together, rather than putting all four in a room together all at once. As the individual sessions settle down you should feel confident enough to try out three at a time. The bonded pair should remain living together the whole time, but they can be separated for the bonding sessions.

Is she actually nibbling or just grooming? Grooming is a sign of affection.

I think she is nibbling because Bubbles flinched once

You need to use your judgement or give more details. Has she done it multiple times but he only flinched once? Does Bubbles run from her? What stage of bonding are you in? Do they scuffle?

Yes she has done it multiple times I have seen her flinch once and yes Bubbles runs from Arla if she tries to nibble her eye. I am at the stage were all four of my bunnies are together.

Wow that was fast to have them all together!

I’d probably try to dissuade it, move her head away from his eye just because it makes me a little nervous, but I do know that eye gunk cleaning is a part of grooming so maybe she’s just a little rusty at it or something.

Another question I have been putting four buns together at a time and noticed that Bronco flies into rages and will fight with every bun that gets in his way and anything including my hand! He will just spin in circles bitting I usually calm him down by holding him but it is really worrying me. I only bond three buns at a time now but I am not quite sure what to do about Bronco Bubbles, Austa Nanie, and Arla are almost bonded.

I think you need to do one on one sessions with Bronco. Get him bonded to each other bun individually first before putting him in with all 3.

Well I tryed doing that today and he began fighting with Austa Nanie I did not have a spray bottle so it was hard to brake up the fight last time I tryed braking up a fight I got bit to the point of blood I. What are your thought should I just keep bonding one at a time I am just afraid someone is gonna get hert.

I would sit on the floor quietly with him and just hold him on the floor gently. let the others come up and meet him, and pat him, but dont let his emotions take over and see how you go…
