My vet always called Kevin a Holland lop, but the more I read on here the more I wonder if he’s really a mini-lop. He’s a big boy, 8 pounds, and I’ve learned that mini-lops are bigger than Holland lops. What do you guys think?

If he is 8 pounds then I would say he is a mini lop cause holland lops go up to about 4 pounds on average, mini-lop or holland lop, he still is such a cutie! I have a holland lop who is 2 pounds and 13 ounces, and my bun is fully grown, sometimes I think he is all fluff!

He’s probably a mini lop mix. Love the little white paw.

At 8lbs he’s absolutely not a holland lop – Otto is a “big” holland and he’s only 4lbs.

8lbs would be a tad large for a mini lop as well, but not completely out of range. His face looks like a mini lop too with the slightly pointy nose and longer ears. Hollands usually have much shorter ears and smushed in faces.

Leopold is 4 lbs, so he is a big boy. Yours is probably a mini lop or mini lop mix (since 8lbs is pretty big).

Oh yes, Elrohwen, I had thought that too! All the pictures I’ve seen of everyone’s Hollands had that smushed face. His is definitely pointed. OK, I’m officially changing him to a mini-lop. That’s what we usually have in Utah anyways. Not many Hollands.

                  Thanks guys!

He might have a wee bit of dutch in him too with that white paw. Cute!

Those ears say mini-lop to me. He’s a cutie pie regardless of breed!

Your cute mini lop licked his paw and dipped it in the sugar bowl again.

I love that paw! My lop weighs 3 pounds and I’ve been questioning the same thing too, she doesn’t really have the face though I think, it’s really flat when you look at it from the side haha.

Your rabbit definitely looks more like a mix with a French Lop (partly from the body structure with the face and ears) but also the weight because about 9/10 is a small french lop. Could definitely be a holland-French mix that gave them the 8 lbs body! So cute and LOVE the paw
