My rabbit is currently disabled. I had him at the vet a few months ago for a check up and he had sore hocks they aren’t that bad the vet said just bald spots the bald spots are raised at the back of the hock. I have been applying a&d ointment on them so they don’t get red. Today I noticed they are a little red and was wondering if there was something else I could put on them that would help? thanks

You can try a product called Bag Balm. It comes in a green square can that I was able to find in my local CVS Pharmacy. Available other places, too.
It is advertised as a soothing cream (more like petrolium jelly) for cow’s udders, but is used for all sorts of animal soreness and dryness. And I use it on my dry heels. I recommend it. Just might call your vet to be sure there isn’t an interaction of different medications that would cause an adverse reaction together if you switch.
