I was just wondering if bunnies get grumpy when they are molting? This is my first molt with Kevin and he seems to be behaving very differently. He’s never been a very personable rabbit, but lately, he avoids all human (or rabbit) contact unless it’s feeding time. Even then, he won’t come out from under the bed for his 5pm veggies. Should I be concerned about other health issues? Or does this happen during a molt?

He’s still eating and pooping like normal. I’ve wondered if he’s just trying to get away from Rosy? Their bond has always been one more of tolerence than love.

Powder was a bit more stand offish when he molted. Though, I kind of think it was mostly because I kept picking at his loose fur and he hated it, but he was much happier to just be under the bed snoozing and grooming himself. After his molt was over, he did zoomies through the living room and did the highest little twist binky he’s ever done, so I took that as a “YAY it’s over” lol
