Today is a bittersweet day for me.  One year ago today we moved into our home.  It's also the day that my beautiful Hugo passed away in my arms.  I still miss him but am SOOOO thankful for my Abby.  I love her to pieces and can't believe I've had her for six months.

Awww...I did love Hugo as well and was sad when he passed away. So glad that sweet Abby came into your life.

aww he was sooo cute. sorry for your loss. at least he is over the rainbow bridge in the fields able to run and play and warm himself in the beautiful sun.

Aww, we miss you Hugo! I'm so glad you have Abby to shower with love and attention now.

I can't believe it's already been a year. It certainly doesn't seem like it's been that long. He was a lovely boy. I wish we all could have known him longer... :o(

You know, Jersey has taken to jumping onto the dishwasher door lately and it made me think of Hugo. He was a special boy!

What a doll. He is so beautiful (I refuse to use past tense). Thank you for sharing and give Abby big kisses for me.

Thanks everyone. My husband took the day off today which was nice. So we went out for his birthday lunch a few days early.
Abby has gotten lots of extra hugs and kisses today. I also came home and made 4 trays of dehydrated bananas for her. =)

Ooo, you dry your own bananas? Yum! That's Mimzy's favorite. I need to learn to do that.
I didn't get to know Hugo very well, but I can see the impact he had on others and yourself. Bless him, he is still watching over you because you can think of him with a smile in your heart. Those pics prove that. I love the one of him inspecting the dishwasher.

Thanks MimzMum. Drying your own bananas is easy. I just slice them up and put them in the dehydrator for about 6 hours. I'm making apple slices for the next few days and I think I'll buy a pineapple while I'm out tomorrow. It's so much cheaper to make your own. The only thing I don't make is papaya. That's a little too messy. I think I'll have to drop some off at the sanctuary I got Hugo and Abby at in a few days. =)

I'm so sorry for your loss of Hugo...condolences, and heal quickly with Abby!
