Hi I was wondering what kind of brush you use on your lionhead.  I heard some brushes can hurt there skin.  But the soft brushes dont seem to do anything for the fur.  I want something that will get the little knots out.  Thanks Mindy

This is the comb I use on Hodari. I haven’t bought her a brush yet, as it really hasn’t been necessary. They do make a Li’l Pals slicker brush, though, and if I was going to buy her a brush that’s probably the one I’d get.

Wooly isn’t a lionhead, but he has lotsa fur. I have a cat brush with the plastic balls on the tips of the bristles. It seems to work the best. I got a hairbuster comb from BB and he HATES it. I think his hair is just to long for it. It works great on Leopold’s short fur though.

I have an american long hair lop hear, so I get the long hair deal. I use the hairbuster, and actually you can just google it and buy it you dont have to buy it here, I got tired of waiting for it to come in stock and just found it googling and bought it. The one I got is the Ultra T. It has more space between the tines. It seems to work better with this thick coat than those smaller cat brushes. Not that he likes being brushed because it usually consists of working out a few knots, but hey, thats just life with long hair lol, same with humans, I dont know any female with long hair that doesnt have to brush and detangle at some point. lol.

There are different models of the hairbuster, you can actually see them on hairbuster.com.

I use the same comb for Penelope (my lionhead) as Silly Sungura. I use that comb in combination with the hairbuster. The hairbuster is a miracle worker but I feel like it pulls to hard when I use it on Penelope’s mane and around her butt where her fur is the longest, so I use the Lil Pals brush on those areas. Penelope isn’t quite as fluffy as Blossom seems to be though.

My favorite grooming tools for my lionhead

She hates being brushed, and nothing seems to work too well; just fingers, she seems to ‘ouch’ if I use a brush. And she likes to see where she’s going so I give her a good clip and style her mane with scissors

Hairbuster    and a people hair brush.   It sits in the bathroom on the grooming stool     I for got it was for Cotton and accidentally used it oh my hair.  It felt different from my everyday brush.  Then I looked and realized I was using Cottons brush  rofl.

I run the brush on my  inner arm to see how it feels if it feels to sharp n hard I keep trying til I get one that doesn’t hurt.

                        Furminator.  Gave Cotton rashes
