Our new bunnies are bumping and prodding us with their noses. Does this mean something?

It can mean a lot of things! Sometimes it’s “get out of my way!” Most of the time in my experience is more like “hey pay attention to me!”. Wilbur constantly comes up to me and nudges and I’m pretty sure it’s just her way of checking in. She does it a lot more when I take her outside, I think then it might be a security thing. I think it’s pretty cute (: Does it seem agressive when your bunny does it?

No it doesn’t seem aggressive at all. Just explorative! Thanks

I agree, it can mean – move it, you’re in my way…or, hey, I want some pets NOW and maybe a cuddle or two. That your hand? How about using it on me… lol

Maybe it can also mean, hey you big lug, what’ve we got to eat?

Lashkay, I think my bunnies usually mean the last one, “Hey, where’s my treat?!”

I swear, I can’t open a resealable bag of cheese – for myself, out of the refrigerator without feeling guilty because the buns hear the rustling bag and think it’s treats for them and are clamoring over the pen walls in anticipation of getting treats!

^^ I have rats and rabbits glaring at me when I open something. They are jumping up like “FOOD!? FOOD!?
Few nights ago I was eating some candy and I saw Nava’s head pop up at the end of my bed (my matress is on the floor, so it’s their hight).

I love nose bumps. When a bun does it against my bare arm or leg with their little velvety nose it’s so sweet.
