 Don’t know if I wrote that subject right.  I’m not the hippest person.  LOL

Just need to comment on this to someone.  You all are the lucky ones!      My dad agreed to get hbo and showtime as long as I paid him for it.  Which was fine.  But I have had unexpected expenses so I haven’t been paying him all the rent every month.  So he cancelled all the premium channels.  I’m not angry about it.  It’s fine.  I didn’t uphold my end of the bargain so there were consequences.  Well my dad got Cinemax back.  How did I come to this conclusion?  How do I phrase this…….certain things are shown a lot on those channels.  LOL      Sigh.  Where’s a wall at?  hahahaha

I do want Showtime back because it’s a new season of Dexter and the following show, Homeland, is pretty good.

 Ok, talking about this is bringing up feelings of anger.  lol  And apparently I need to vent.  I understand that it’s his house, etc.  But I am also a person sharing his living space so I don’t think it’s out of line to expect the same treatment back.  My dad is the poster child for being passive-aggressive.  Guess who else can be that way?  Moi – cause I learned from him.  How ironic is that?  LOL  Anyways, I could very easily get into a passive-aggressive war with him.  Like I mentioned I haven’t been able to pay the full $130 rent that we agreed on.  I am doing my best.  When I do give him some money, he ALWAYS has to make some snarky comment about it.  Like I gave him $20 tonite and he did say thanks, but then he went on to mutter crap about it.  I don’t know exactly what he said cause he made me mad and I quit listening.  

Another point of contention is that ever since I’ve moved in, every damn time he sees me, he has to tell me that the house is a mess.  This goes back to when my mom moved out and he tried to make me the “housewife” who cooked and cleaned and did all that housework.  I was raised in the 80’s and 90’s.  That is NEVER going to happen no matter what man I live with.  I do make an effort to keep my stuff picked up.  But he gripes at me about how the place is a mess but yet he doesn’t do anything about it either.  I got a lecture about keeping my food picked up.  I replied back “ok, I will do better.  But you have food underneath your chair.”  And I have told him that I would HELP him clean.  I just can’t stand for long periods or anything like that.  But I can help dust and clean the bathroom or something.  Nothing has happened with that offer yet except yet more griping.  SIgh.  WHERE IS A WALL FOR ME TO SLAM MY HEAD AGAINST?!  LOL  

I know, I know.  It’s never easy living with a parent when you’re an adult.  I do recognize when I need to step up on things.  I do try to work with him.  But the problem is that when I moved in, he honestly did not expect anything about his life to change.  None of his expenses would go up – satellite tv, electric, etc  And apparently, I would be Susy Homemaker.  AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!   And I don’t know how to get through to him.  I have talked to him about everything.  Sometimes a lot.  And it gets me nowhere.  (Along with relationship problems I don’t ever want to know about, this is why my mom ultimately left. lol)

I am sorry this turned into one long venting session.  lol   None of this is a huge deal or anything.  I know it’s just the way my dad is but the frustration builds and I just need to vent.  LOL

I am so sorry Michelle, so frustrating!!!! You should read my thread about the dogs at my house pooping all over, you might feel a tiny bit better But at least with dogs you can crate train them hahahaha! I should stick my brother in a crate too now that I think about it teehee
