Goblin got neutered today and I was able to take him home 2 hours after it was done. He woke up almost immediately and proceeded to be a brat ( now I know he isn’t a bratty boy just for me! ) and throw his bowls around in the cage at the vet, he even hopped right into the carrier when I got there like “Thank god, take me home”.

He is really alert and has been eating/drinking/pooping normal, moving around good, being bratty, and even begging to be let out!

I am so glad he is doing so well….. I had been reading about everything bad that can happen and was freaking out, I even cried after dropping him off.

I was wondering though, should I be feeding him as normal or feed him a bit more than usual? I gave him as many veggies as he wanted tonight & gave him extra pellets. The vet only said to make sure he ate really good before I gave him his metacam tonight.

I don’t think you need to do anything different food-wise. Most of the time, boys will act like nothing even happened. You might want to restrict him from jumping up onto things, but I don’t think this is quite as important for boys as it is for girls. Otherwise, just keep an eye on things down there to make sure everything is healing nice.
