When your rabbits are sleeping, do they pin their ears back, keep one up, etc?

I’m looking at Chacha, and she is ‘asleep’ in her condo on the 3rd floor and well.. I can’t tell if she really is asleep. One ear is up, the other is down. I bet she is doing that to keep da humans in check

It seems to vary with mine Sometimes down, sometimes up, sometimes both, sometimes they sleep upside down so you can’t tell….

Both of my boys only sleep while flopped. I haven’t seen them sleep like a real rabbit in months! But Fievel does carefully lift his ears over his eyes when he’s mad at me (all the time…) Hahaha

I have lops, so I just have to guess what they’re thinking and whether they’re asleep or not. Haha

                monkey bun – upside down?

if Chacha is in her condo, she’ll sleep all loafed up.
in her cottontail cottage, she’ll either loaf up,.. or flop all out, putting her head on the floor *squee!!!*

Momo will do all of the above with her ears. When she flops she will lay on her side, with her head either still upright or leaned against something, but leaves her ears up. When she sleeps with one up and the other straight back, my husband and I call her “right-angle bun”. I love when she makes a tight loaf with her ears flat to her back. My roommate calls it “going streamline”.

Pacey sleeps with his ears straight forward unless he is flopped. Dini sleeps with his left ear up and the other covering his eye or flopped on his back.

Sometimes Moose sleeps with his head upside down, flopped lol.

If Lolli’s in a deep, “don’t bother me” sleep, both ears will be lying flat. If she’s just dozing, it varies. It just depends on if she feels she needs to be “alert”. What’s fun is when I’ll talk to her and one ear will go down. Or both. LOL

If Huckles is loafing, its usually right ear back, left ear up at about 45 degrees. If she is flopped, they are both pinned back. It mostly depends on the time of day I think. She naps during the day and thats loafing time but her deep sleep is flopped time.

Olivia and Stormy sleep with their ears pinned back. Bindi’s just flopped wherever.
