Hi, We are so glad to have found you. We have had Diamond our male bunny for a year and a half now. Over the past few months he has begun to chew cords and wires. He has destroyed our computer, and most of the electronics in the house. We have stopped letting him roam in the house because we don’t want him to electrocute himself and also we can’t afford to keep replacing the items he is destroying. We have tried putting bitter apple spray on the cords and it doesn’t seem to matter. He has plenty to chew on including sticks, carrots and plenty of raw veggies and fruit. He gets outside time so he can chew there, but he really really really seems to suddenly be very attracted to the cords. Help!!

          HI there and welcome

First off, you will need to rabbit proof. Leaving things in the open isn’t good, as yes, rabbits will get all over it and are not afraid of chewing things.

Have you heard of neat idea cubes? I use those, and zip tie them together and put it around the tv area.

Chewing is a rabbit instinct – their teeth are ALWAYS growing, so it is important for them to chew chew chew.

I hope that you can rabbit proof of up your place. It is a life saver.

I use cord covers to protect my cords, and keep an eye on them for any damage. They are much easier and cheaper to replace than the cords
