Caboose just doesn’t appear to be settling in very well! =( I remember that it seemed like, I’d say a whole six months before Tank REALLY settled in and became comfortable with us, and then he started to let us see facets of his personality that we hadn’t before. But he wasn’t terrified of us at first.

Caboose is different x( If his cage is open for him to exercize, he ventures out when we’re not in the room (and only then) and if we come back in, he jumps right back in. If we put our hands in his cage for any reason (feeding or cleaning usually) he bites and kicks, but I can’t clean it while he’s out because he won’t let me anywhere near him without hiding in his cage! I think it wouldn’t be a good idea to block access to the place he feels safe.

Also, he’s not very litter-trained, although he seems to be sort of making progress (I have a little litterbox in three corners of his cage… xD)

The vet said he believes he is fixed but he’s five years old now so even if he’s not, I think it’s too late to worry about it x( Any ideas?

5 years old is not too late to neuter – you would just need to do bloodwork.

How long have you had Caboose?

I dunno. He might even be 6! :X!

I’ve had him for maybe a month and a half now.
