Has your bunny done anything bad lately?

This morning I had the nerve to sleep in 20 minutes so bunny breakfast was a bit late. Bindi kept busy though…he dug all the dirty litter out of his litter box. It was spread all over his condo, all over the carpeted room and even into Storm’s condo (who must have been annoyed since he’s Mr. Tidy Bunny). It’s funny to see this huge mess and he’s just sitting there looking like a big, fluffy teddy bear with this super innocent face. I tell him he’s a bad bunny but I’m laughing and using my “bunny voice” so he really doesn’t understand.

Yup. Powder has been a little terror since he got neutered.

His most recent is this morning he dragged all of his chew sticks over by the A/C vent because I scolded him for chewing on furniture. He then proceeded to chew them down to size and then push them down the A/C vent until they made a satisfying “clank”. At 6am. Whole time he’s sitting there staring at the bed with his ears folded down. lol

And the other day he chewed a hole through my box spring and climbed inside of it and wouldn’t come out. Day before that he climbed the bookshelf to get a higher up book, it’s only difference from the rest was it had a blue cover. I guess he was in a blue mood that day.

Within 2 weeks after Eddie passed, Lolli quit doing all the bad stuff.  Go figure.   However…………………

I think the absolute worst Eddie ever did was chew on the kitchen cabinets.  They NEVER went into the kitchen cause of the linoleum and it has weird smells and sounds from cooking.  He was in a particularly pissy mood one day.  I went somewhere for less than an hour.  Left them out cause normally they’re fine.  Came home to him in the kitchen, chewing on the cabinets.  OMG!   I could’ve killed him.     Yeah, I didn’t but they spent the rest of the day in their pen.  I always felt bad for Lolli cause she was punished by default.  All their stuff was in the pen so I couldn’t just leave her out.  lol

And I also had major battles after I first got Eddie cause he’d kicked all his litter out.  I don’t know if he was just bored or mad or what his problem was.  I couldn’t ever figure it out.  And he’d kicked it like 3 feet outside the opposite side of the cage.  LOL

The worst Lolli did was chew on the all the furniture.  lol

Let’s see…. yesterday I woke to find the bath mat chewed (Smudge). Tillie continues her marking antics. She peed about 8 times in her and Toby’s condo. Of course picking up cocoa puffs around the gate that divides her and Smudge is a daily chore. This morning, as I was cleaning up her poop and pee (on the carpet, grrrr) she proceeded to come up from behind my cleaning and leave another pee spot.

Toby is about as perfect as they come. Except for his over production of cecals which results in them being squished into the carpet (yuck!)

And I thought my human kids made a mess …

Spence has taken to chewing on my furniture, I’m looking forward to an order of bunny toys I made not too long ago to show up. He just destroys his favorite things so FAST that I can’t keep up, and then ignores anything I buy that’s not a favorite. I bought two unpeeled willow baskets and one of those wreaths from BB and they were gone in two days. And I mean GONE, there’s some twigs on the carpet and that’s it. My entire apartment smells like the stinky perfume I’ve been spraying near the things he likes to chew, it’s get a little overwhelming actually, I might have to see if air freshener works as well. Katie continues her ongoing quest to get behind my piano. I have it blocked with a pillow right now. Yesterday I think she tried to lick her way through it.

I wake up in the morning, and I put Momo’s litter back in her box. I feed her lunch in the afternoon and once again scoop all of her dirty litter and displaced poops back into the box. Right before bed I be sure to scoop all of her dirty litter back into the box. Repeat repeat repeat repeat repeat.

This is why we are switching to pelleted litter. And a litter screen? Ha, she shredded that in no time.

The only thing that ever made me really mad was when Wooly went over to my tote bag (which was sitting right in front of me), sniffed it, and then tore a chunk out of it.

One night i heard something fall in the living room. I turned on the lights and some of my figurines were on the ground. The next night the same thing. I put the figurines in a different place and then he knocked the decorative box off the table since the other things were gone. It broke and then my daughter put her plastic crayon box on that table and I watched him nose it over and over until he finally pushed it off the table. Then he sprawled out on it looking so happy with himself. Now, it’s just for him and I quit putting things on it.

when I was staying at my boyfriends house with the bunnys during the hurricane after the first night Cady and sophie became very comfortable and decided it was time for all bunny proofing to be destroyed…

Cady decided all pillows were enemies and must be destroyed at one point I was trying to sleep and he was being so loud digging at the pillow I put my arm out to block him, guess he was not a fan of this and continued digging at my arm and even bit me!

Sophie became determined to climb everything possible and figured out how to get up on a ledge about 4 feet of the ground and proceeded to knock everything off of it, she was pretty proud of herself.

Since being home cady has gone on a remodeling spree and decided the 2 story cardboard hideout I made for them should be 2 separate hideaways and every morning knocks the 2nd story off and drags it where ever he pleases…

lately, the bunnies haven’t done any damage because they now have half of my huge living room and it is entirely bunny proofed haha. but in the past year, they have chewed through my curling iron cord, laptop charger, tv cord, several ethernet cords, the curtains in my apartment, carpet, my couch cover, the WALL, and my favorite tank top hahaha. and that is why they have their own space >=|

Stormy just took a big chunk out of my book. He feels the need to remove the top right corner of all my books. His calling card.

Chacha has taken chunks out of my Harry Potter books. She LOVES HP you know? She also took a little bite out of my Girl with the dragon tattoo book. What can I say.. the girl has good taste.

Everytime I leave my BEDROOM door open (sometimes on accident), she always takes advantage of it and goes in there, hops under my bed, and sleeps… or rips up shoeboxes that I’ve put under the bed ><

Jackie is a clever, stubborn little bun. She’s been watching me get her food. Today, I left her alone for five minutes and she hopped right over to the tupperware container I keep her pellets in, worked the lid off and was having herself a dandy time chowing down. She still had food in her bowl! Brat.

Lol, Spence once jumped right into the container I keep the hay in when I was trying to clean out the litter box. And yes, he peed in it while he was there. Brat.

One time when Momo was a baby still, I was sitting on the couch next to her pen eating a pear (her favorite). I saw her standing up on her hidey box and eyeing me. I thought she wanted a forehead scratch, so I reach my finger into her pen and she chomped down on it. That is when I realized it was the pear she wanted, not me. So of course I had to give in and let her have a little piece. No so much a bad bunny moment, but it did kinda hurt.

                                            I’m bumping this up!

This morning at 7 am, Chacha decides to JUMP onto my bed and STOMP. I stir and I wake up and say “Breakfast pellets?” to her. She is staring at me, so I drag my lazy butt out of bed and sprinkle her pellets all over the carpet.

At 9 am, she jumps onto my bed and stares at me… LOL! My dad told me he was going to wake me up at 9 to go to the gym.. but someone beat him to that Oh man, CHACHA MUST KNOW SLAVE’S ROUTINE!!!

Ha ha LPT you jinxed me by starting this thread. I read it yesterday and thought, “well, my bunnies have been alright lately.” Then when I got home Kevin had got under my bed and chewed a giant hole in one of the Space Bags I use to store my kids baby clothes. He then proceeded to dig them out of the bag. Clothes were everywhere. I can just imagine how proud he was of himself.

Cleaning those clothes up was a nightmare. The bag had reinflated under the bed so it was now wedged under it and of course I had expertly folded each little item which was now in one big ball. Oooh, the little stinker.

My new bun, Etta, is a destruct-o-bun! I had to buy a water bowl that locks onto the side of the pen because she thought it was hilarious to throw the water dish around. She would bite onto the lip of the dish and flip it, water and all. She’s also ripping up the area rug that is under their pen.

Mr. Flopsy ruined an iron and destroyed an extension cord. (He likes to chew cords.) Both times were while I was out of town spending the weekend with my parents and Flops had to stay home with my husband. I guess he missed me. (Also both cords were, fortunately, not plugged into the wall at the time.)

After having to replace an $80 charger, every cord in the house is wrapped in vinyl tubing Oh, and a couple corners of carpet that have been dug up, I tried fooey spray but he uses his paws so doesn’t really care. I just made a diggy box though, so hopefully that’ll help that.
