thanks and i also was wondering i read in a book that you should use biodegradable dish soap to clean the rabbits water and food bowls. I don’t use that I use regular dish soap is that ok?

I just clean as I go. I clean the litterboxes with vinegar/water mixture when I clean the litter boxes.

I usually just wipe the water bowls if they are scummy – I dump the water twice a day in them. Once in a while I’ll put them in the dishwasher and rotate.

I don’t do alot of disinfecting really. Just alot of cleaning dirty area rugs with my older dirtier rabbits – i wash those once a week. I wish I could do more often but I don’t have the time.

I normally will do a weekly clean of the litterbox with vinegar and water. With the water bowl, I will normally do what Sarita does for a couple of days, and then I will hand wash it out with dish soap. (I just happen to use biodegradable anyway), but I think as long as you rinse thoroughly, you will be fine.

Yup. Vinegar once a week (about every other litterbox dump), the rest of the time I just wipe out the loose sawdust with a paper towel. I scrub out food/water dishes as needed, with Dawn dish soap and rinse very well.
