Last night I had some friends come round to my house for a coffee, and Chips went mental! She LOVED it!

Chips is a very friendly bunny, she likes to sit on my shoulder and lick my face and gets excited when me and my Fiancee come into the room but last night was something else!

Chips wouldn’t leave my poor friends (3 people Chips has never met) alone. She was jumping on their laps, licking their feet, trying to get into their bags and even jumped on one friends back when he reached down to get something!

Is this normal bunny behaviour, or is it a Chips thing? I was expecting her to be a little nervous, maybe sniff round them for a while and then go to her cage, but no, as soon as they walked in the room she was having ‘crazy time’ (the typical running around the house like a mental bun).

I am very happy I have such a friendly rabbit, but it has kinda confirmed what I have always thought…..she is a lunitic!

ha! We love lunatic rabbits : D

Remy is an all-out people person. He will binky for strangers and even jump up on their shoulders when they sit on the couch.

Momo, on the other hand, will hide and refuse to show herself if anyone else besides us is here.

Nope, anytime someone has to come into our house the buns freak out and hide until the stranger danger is gone. Powder treats strangers like the vacuum cleaner, he hides under my chair or behind the bird cage. lol

Mine aren’t afraid of strangers really. They come up and sniff, then go about their business. Unless, of course, they think there is a treat to be had.

Very curious – yet very standoffish. If a person were to sit on a couch or lay on the ground, Chacha bun would come up and sniff them and examine them worthy of being in her presence.

One of my rabbits likes new people, the other one doesn’t at all! x)

Cute!! Kokanee was like that-you couldn’t get her off to bed, she would stay up late and hang out with any visitors.
Rupert is my social bunny now, and with his gimpy leg everyone says he ‘gallops’ over to them. Of course it’s to frisk for treats, but considering he used to hide when anyone was over (or anything was happening) he’s turned a complete 180 and is very social-nothing compared to your party-bunny though lol ! CUTE !

My bunnies don’t even like me, never mind strange people !  I keep thinking one day they will not run when I reach down to give pets. Or that just maybe they might even nose bonk me for pets. As of right now they just run

I’m still trying to decide. I’ve had people over where Rosy immediately comes over and wants pets. Then other people will come over and she runs and I don’t see her for the rest of the night. One time my parents came over, Rosy jumped up on my dad’s lap, took a big bite out of his book, and pooped. Very embarrassing.

Neither of my bunnies like people very much. Otto doesn’t get super nervous, but since he doesn’t like attention he usually hides himself away when new people are around. Hannah loves us, but can be pretty nervous about new situations and new people so she usually hides. If they do come out and sniff around, they’re more wary and try to avoid the new people.

Eh, it depends on Thistle’s rabittude that day! lol
Sometimes hes very antisocial then other times he will grace the “intruders” with his presence! lol

Momo seems to like everyone but me. I am the mean one who clips her nails, cleans her cage, brushes her, and checks her teeth and ears. She loves my husband.

I always give friends some bunny treats so they won’t be shunned or attacked. LOL. So the fact your friends had food may have helped, but I know it still would have taken a long time for my bunnies to come over to strangers even with treats.

Vivian definitely kicks manners to the curb and will threaten anyone new. When we were gone for three weeks, and I’d ask the pet/house sitter for an update, she would always say “Vivian did okay today” or “She was extra grumpy”, or “Vivian is….well Vivian.” Geesh! It took Vivian over a week to just tolerate the pet/house sitter.

Jack used to just hide, but he’d warm up after about 1/2 hour. My very first bunny was shy, but he’d still come explore strangers and then run away.

I have a friend though that has a bunny that comes right over and asks to be pet the moment you sit down in their living room. She said he does that to everyone.

Nikka is a total diva (kind of like chacha) and will just hide behind the curtain when people are over. even with the boyfriend, she hardly comes up and sniffs him. rorschach on the other hand is a total attention whore. he loves my boyfriend, and when I have company over he starts running and binkying all over the place and will come up to them for pets haha.

Gabby will come to visitors if they sit or lay down. She’ll let them pet her forehead for a few minutes. Thumper is pretty curious and will bound over for pettings. I’ve not met a person or animal he doesn’t like.

Chips that is adorable, and a bit unusual.

Samantha is not terribly fond of people, but she will accept treats from visitors. She’ll hide at first, but if I let her out and we go into the next room, she’ll venture out to eavesdrop. No one can touch, however.

Spockie, way back when, clearly loved people. I once had a party with just a dozen guests in the living room, and he clearly wanted out of his cage and separate room. So, out he came. Mr. Foot Fetish went up to every person’s feet and had a sniff, taste, and got pets. He was happy and content. Very sociable.

I forgot to mention that she also really loves our roomie and my sisters boyfriend. Turns out they have been slipping her craisins. Explains why she would run to the side of the cage for them, but not give me the time of day unless I am giving her a bowl of food.

Arthur is shy at first, and he will hide. If you sit down, or better yet, lie on the ground, he’ll come up to you. He may or may not groom the visitor, depends on his mood. When my daughter’s sister (her father likes to, ahem, populate like a rabbit-she’s my daughter’s half sister) came over for the first time since we got Arthur he was nervous. The moment she lied down, he was all over her. Maybe he could sense how bonded they were and since he loves his Cynthia, he deemed her sister worthy.

Cortana LOVES people, and will hop up on the couch with people. She’s very much a lover and attention seeker. If she hears someone come downstairs, she’s stretching up to see who it is and to get pets.

                                              Navi, however, is antisocial.

This is true for me also. I am the only one who cares for Peanut and she seems to just tolerate me. She loves my boyfriend!!  I clipped her nails this morning and have been getting the cold shoulder since. Im sure when her dad gets home from work she’ll binky like mad.

Linglong is ok with strangers, he’d come over and let them pet him, but after a few minutes, with no treat or nothing particularly intriguing and just goes back to his own business. Chingchong though, is a little nightmare. He is EXTREMELY shy, my living room is pretty much empty, he doesnt really have a spot to hide, so he just hides behind my back, he’s glued to my feet when anyone except for my boyfriend and roommates is around. One of my friend decided to pet him, and he bit her, and drew blood, she was bleeding and chingchong went into this frenzy and just started attacking. He hates people. I’m not even sure if he likes me all that much ahhaha still my lil bunbun though .
