Lost my best friend Floppy on 8-16-11. We had him for 7.5 years and he lived a wonderful life in our house. We had to go away for a few days and had to put him in his hutch outside. He seemed normal and the next day I noticed he had some poop on his bum and when I went to clean him, I found he had maggots under his fur. I immediately cleaned him and took him to the vet but there was too much damage done and we had to put him to sleep. What I saw on my poor friend will never go away. How could I let this happen to something I loved so much? The guilt I feel is unbearable. He was the best pet and was so much fun and interacted with us all. Everywhere I go I still se signs of him. I am going to miss my little vacuum cleaner. I love you buddy!!
