Today we started building the bunny pen! I LOVE it so far.

It is mostly made from wood and sheet medal.

First we built three frames like this.

Next we screwed them together.

Then we screwed on the sheet medal

Then we built the frame for the door side.

Then we put on the sheet medal.

Next we put on the door.

This is the furthest we got today. We have to go buy some chicken wire so we can build the roof.

So what do you guys think of it so far?

Monkeybun. we are only going to have this pen up for about a month and then we have to take it down because we are going home and wont be back up until spring when we start to build a new house, so we couldn't bury it. But we are planing to next year don't worry I will be watching them.

PuddleJumper: Hehe. Don't worry. There will be TONS of pics to come! It is quite cool this morning, I was thinking I might let them out! The sheet medal wasn't my idea. It was from Petzy, She made a pen out of sheet medal and I copied her

Its Finished!

We added the latch on the door

and put some fencing on top!

Me and the bunnies are in it now. Mocha has binkied 3 times already. Lulu is still getting used to it, but is loving the grass and clover! I took some video but it takes about 4-5 hours to upload it here. Hopefully it will be up by tomorrow or Wednesday.

That's fantastic!! I absolutely love it!

Is it heavy - can two people to move it around the yard? Also, what are the dimensions? I'd love to build something like this when we get our house.

Oh, I forgot to mention that. Thanks Elrohwen. It is 8x8. It can be moved by two people. So once they eat all the grass in one spot, you can move it to another.

That's a great outdoor run. Another thing to add to our gallery regarding "outdoor runs"...Do you mind? Since it is still diggable I could only recommend it for supervised play on our site but still a fun outdoor play run. Nice job.

No I wouldn't mind at all! Next time we set it up ( which might not be for a year or two) we are going to make it dig proof ether by putting something on top of the ground so they can't dig or burying the pen about a foot. Still not sure.
