Any of our onsite Potterheads going to join this one? It's supposed to be a big thing come October, but JK has a certain online treasure hunt/magic quill thing going on between today and the 6th of August to 'pre-register' for the site and earn the opportunity to help shape how it comes out.

I got the info on RU tonight. I am bummed that I forgot this was going on at the end of this month. I would like to make it into the beta testing for the site if I can catch the next time the Quill makes an appearance.

Hmm... JK Rowling is the real life Willy Wonka of the modern era! But it's magic quills on the internet instead of golden tickets in chocolate bars. And you get an early preview of a website and help design it instead of a tour of a chocolate factory and lots of chocolate. Think she'll take the most worthy of the winners back with her to Hogwarts?

I missed the early registration too, I listened to it on Mugglenet the following week ;-( I love the books and the movies. So far my work schedule has limited me to seeing Part 2 only twice, but I hope to catch it at least once more at the thearters.
My Bunny Burrow is full! Pringles & Toby, Daisy & Lola, and my senior citizens Hershey & Simba.
The piggies are back, add Brownie and Sweetpea to the mix.

I am BEYOND excited about this. Though I haven't gotten to register for beta testing yet, since the clues have been up at 4am and 5am where I am. Hopefully they'll be at a more reasonable time over the next few days. They're supposed to be giving out 1 million beta invites so hopefully it won't be too difficult to get one a little later in the week.

kral - I love Mugglenet! Do you listen to Mugglecast at all?

all the time. I have a usb drive devoted to archiving them so I can listen whenever I want. It's fun to go back and hear everyone's guesses as to how the story was going to end. It's my treat, I can only listen to it when I've finished a job or go walking....lol

Making it a treat is a great idea! I have all of their old episodes too and am currently going through all of them. They keep me sane when I need a mental break from work, family, etc.

they're my stress relief at work too...lol. If someone walks up behind me and see it on my Itunes they tread lightly. Now if it's really a stressful day I put a song on 'repeat' and keep it low, I'm not really listening to it but it makes a nice calming background so I can focus. So if they hear the Carpenters singing Puff the Magic Dragon they don't EVEN come in the office ;-)

Mugglecast? Mugglenet? Never heard of those. Are they Sirius XM or just online stuff? (I'm not huge on any thing HP, but my daughter enjoys it still.)

I got a username validated. I don't know if it's now a wait until my name is drawn or if I automatically get a spot to peruse the site on 8-7?

I have yet to see either DH 1 or 2. I've got the DVD of 1, just don't have a working player to view it on.

kral, the early reg for the beta testing is still going on until the 6th if you're looking to get a spot. I got mine about 1-2 AM my time earlier today.
