My dad was trying to help me out by getting Lolli some food, hay, and litter.  I should’ve wrote it down for him.  But when he went to the store, he asked the teenager staff for help. That pretty much says it all right there.  lol  He did get all timothy hay/pellets.  The pellets she can’t have cause I buy Oxbow and it’s a different brand.   The litter he bought is recycled magazine and newspaper that’s in little tiny pieces.  It’s a bit like Carefresh.  It also has baking soda in it.

I am very leery about using this litter.  But here is my problem –  I need to get the Yesterday’s News litter.  My dad is currently on a Harley trip so he’s not home.  I can’t get the litter out of the trunk.  I can have help getting into the trunk when I buy it, but it’s coming home with it that’s the problem.     My dad just left on his trip on Friday and will be gone for 2 weeks.

I know Lolli won’t eat the litter.  At least, she most likely won’t.  She doesn’t eat the Yesterday’s news so she should be fine.  But is the baking soda ok?

I am about ready to say to heck with ALL litter and just use some newspaper instead.  LOL

Baking soda can be bad if she ingests some.

Ok, well……I’m not gonna risk it. So I’ll buy the yesterday’s news but just use newspaper until my dad gets home. LOL

Grab the receipt for this stuff and see if it can be returned. Even opened backs can be sometimes. Could you just get the YN and start using it from the trunk. Open it and carry in what you need? I thought you could get smaller bags also.

The baking soda stuff might be ok if you can rig something up over the top, like a rack. Might not be worth your while if Lolli doesn’t like this or it effects her feet being a rex. She might be interested in eating the litter because the soda has a saltiness to it.
