I found Luigi ON MY DESK this morning with his head buried in a box of CheezIt crackers munching away. He couldn’t have eaten much since I came running when I heard something fall (he knocked things off of my desk). I’m sure he’ll be ok with eating the crackers, right? I was more shocked that he actually had the guts to get onto my desk, haha!

LOL. He probably will be. I would just watch him. Some rabbits have iron stomachs…hopefully Luigi is one of those.

I swear if I left his bag of pellets somewhere he could reach, he’d eat the whole bag. The people at the shelter warned me he was a glutton, and they weren’t joking!

That is so crazy! I can’t believe he ate Cheez-its. The girls won’t even take a cranberry from me if I’ve been eating anything. That’s so cute, he’s like a dog.

Funny! Glad it didn’t upset his tummy! My guy will eat anything we have learned (via by dropping stuff on the floor–oops). My daughter had a FULL bowl of Cap’n Crunch Crunch Berries and a berry fell on the floor and Arthur SWOOPED it right up! Needless to say, once he munched that right up, he followed her everywhere while she had the bowl. She was short of locking herself in the bathroom to eat it!

On occasion I’ll see Gabby in front of the dog’s food bowl eating a dry kibble. She gets so mad when I take them away from her.

He’ll be fine. Spockie LOVED saltines. I had never seen a bunny website when he used to snack on them, and my family loved giving him pieces. He never had an adverse reaction to them, but it added to his weight until I finally had a savvy vet who told me to stop. I think I was lucky he didn’t get gut trouble from them though. (they were only 1/4 of a square at any time, but still.)

I worry more about chocolate around animals than carbs. However, bunnies will have a Huge sweet tooth, so like kids, or yourself, if it’s there and bad and tastes good, they’ll eat it. Repeatedly. So being mindful of what they can access or scoop up off the floor is very important.

(Tell Luigi that books and xerox pages are not a fiber food group.)

Ralphie swiped a piece of dog food once, too! I couldn’t believe he ate it. Silly rabbit!

Cheez-its is one thing, now try gummy worms.  That’s right,  I left bowl of them on my floor for the kids cause I didn’t think she’d touch them.  She hopped right over, stuck her head in, grabbed one, and took off.  It’s the only thing I’ve ever seen her take off with (usually she’ll just sit and nibble).  She must have sensed she wasn’t supposed to have it   By the time we caught her she had already eaten half of it.

She loves fruity candy!  As soon as you take the wrapper off, she’s there.  Let me tell you, it’s sooo hard not to give her any
