It went very well.  It is a new vet – since our vet is a farm/cat/dog vet – and I liked her a lot.

They both have a clean bill of health, are a good weight and have clean ears.  She said she usually has a big long speech prepared about how they need fresh veggies and hay and not pellets, that they really shouldn’t be in wire cages, and how it really is importiant to spay and neuter them etc. etc. but since I already was doing all the right things and have my neuter appointment set up she really had nothing to discuss with me and to jsut keep it up.

        So that was pretty awesome

also hopper-hoppers was really hard for her to handle – cut her twice with his nails before she could wrap him in a blanket to trim them. And I thought to myself – okay he does know me and trust me a tiny bit – because he is now waaaay better at being handled by me. Of course it was a strange and stressful place – but he calmed down a lot once I let him bury his head in my armpit!

Aw, sounds like Hoppers-Hoppers still needs some TLC. It can take a long time but I’m sure you’ll see him become more secure.

Great to hear the 1st visit went well for the boys.
