  Remmy learned that sometimes doors open when he pushes on them. If the doors are closed all the way, he jumps on them and tries to open them anyway! It’s so funny! I was wondering if anyone else had the same silly bunny activity?

  Remy (haha almost the same name) doesn’t do that, but if it’s just a crack open, he’ll nudge it open… but if you catch him doing that he’ll dash away because it’s like he knows he’s not supposed to do that…

  Powder doesn’t open a door – if it’s left cracked he’ll just stare at me with his ears flat against his head until I open it for him. Why should he go through the effort? lol The girl is scared of doors, so no opening for her either

  Tait will nudge them open if they’re only open a crack too. He always knocks the baby gate down though, then just stands there like whattttt?????

  Rory has been terribly interested in the bedroom door, but only goes toward it when it’s open. If he’s tiptoeing his way out and I stand up and walk over, he’ll immediately dash back inside as if he’d never intended to go anywhere.

  Must be cute to watch Remmy try the closed doors!
  
  Mine have sussed out a coroplast barrier I made across a doorway. They learnt if you bang against it, it bounces back slightly and leaves a gap. So now we put something heavy up against it.
  
  Mine also will pull open doors that aren’t completely closed with their teeth. I think the majority of doors have teeth scratches on them.

  just wait until he learns how to open a door that opens inward.. Arduina figured out which doors open inward and she’ll bite the door and pull it open! We have to make sure doors are fully latched closed..

  It’s funny when they shut doors too. Jersey has shut Rumball and me out of the living room a couple times. Guess she wanted some alone time.

  When Gabby first came to live with us I would close all the bedroom doors and let her free range every where else. One day I got on to my daughter for not closing her door all the way and we had to herd Gabby out from under her bed where she had plenty of kid’s toys to play with. Later in the afternoon it happened again and I got really upset. My daughter then figured out that her bedroom door would not latch right even though it looked closed. Gabby had figured out to just push against it and she got to go play.
  
  She was confined to just the laundry room after her spay and after she healed up we let her back in the house again. First thing she did was run to my daughter’s room and stood up and pushed against the door. My husband had fixed the door while she was healing up and she was very upset she could no longer open the door.

  Katie is my absurd little ninja bunny when it comes to doors. At the apartment I just left she wasn’t allowed in the office, too many unprotected cords and yummy books on the floor. Well, naturally she figured out that if the door didn’t latch all the way she could pop it open and go exploring, usually in the walkin closet or behind the book shelves where you couldn’t get to her. Eventually she figured out how to listen for the door to latch or not and without fail would race over and pop the door open if she didn’t hear it. Once we got better about that, she would hide next to the door when she knew people were going in and out of the office and zoom past your feet and inside. It was quite an ordeal. Now she stands up on the bedroom door at my new apartment hoping to pop it open. But she’s actually allowed in there, I just keep it shut so I don’t have to turn my AC up as high and can save money, so it’s not nearly as exciting as the office.

  Ok, well, there’s a certain room in the house that doesn’t get latched shut because I am alone often. So, it starts to move slowly, then a little face peeks in. I simply say “excuse me, I have to use my litter pan” and the face discreetly disappears.

  I know exactly what you’re talking about! Arduina does the same thing! And how funny, I say the exact same thing too! (She’s not allowed in that room because she likes to chew on the rubber plunger *yuck*.)

  yes I am starting to learn that bunnies learn these tricks from other bunnies, but Ber isnt polite about opening the door its more like ” oh my gosh ninja mommy forgot to lock the door……run for it!!!!!”

  Rory learned today that if I or my fiancee leave the top of his cage unhooked, he can push it open and climb on his hut and out. He used the litter pan that I had next to his cage for his free range time as a landing pad.

  Bindi opens the cupboards to our entertainment center. He checks what’s inside pretty much every day so we had to take everything out.

  That’s Remmy’s favorite door. He sneaks in and hides behind the toilet… I’ll try saying that next time, LOL!
