As a followup to my pervious post, Houdini seems really tired. When I bring him out to play, he just lounges around. He used to dash and binky all over the place. I’m getting worried. But he’s eating, drinking, pooping, and peeing normally. This started right when I switched him into his condo, could this be part of stress?…

          How old is Houdini?

My bunny started to become lazy after she turned 1. She snoozes during the day, and plays at night (really late at night), but she likes to nap a lot more.

She also doesn’t binky as much as she used to. She is just comfortable

How long has he been in his new condo? Could also be that he just loves it and feel extremely comfortable in it. Does he hang out there more than he did with his old habitat?

I think hes around 2 1/2, I cant find his papers.. He’s been in his condo since the 4th. I’m thinking that hes taking out his energy in his condo, rather than sit around all day, when he was in his tiny petstore cage.

You could also test out his energy level when he is out the condo by putting a few boxes to explore outside of the condo. Since he is eating, drinking and pooping, that’s good, but just keep an eye on him since you are noticing a change.

Yesterday he was dashing and zooming all over the place, for about 10 minutes. And today he was running around for a bit, and I caught him doing a binky or two. He’s seems to be doing better, and hes getting more comfortable with his condo. I saw him lounging in the higher levels.

My bunny, Bindi Loo, goes through energy phases. For a few days he will binky and zoom and have endless energy and the next few days he will be lazy and just wants to spend his out-time lounging. He flips back and forth between lazy and crazy. At first I used to get really worried but now I accept that this is just how he is.

Could Houdini’s energy level have anything to do with the weather/heat?

I was thinking the heat had something to do with it, but its been pretty cool lately now.
