I won this real cute little bunny at a carnival…(I know, right?) But ethics aside, I love him and just want to know what breed he is. Really, I’d like to know how big I can expect him to get.  The carny didn’t know anything about it except that it’s 6 weeks old.  Any help is appreciated!

Breed is hard to tell, but size can be determined by ears.

At 6 weeks old it should still be with its mother and on mother’s milk at least partially… :s carnivals are awful to animals so I would want to have it vet checked ASAP

As for how to take care of him:

            http://www.rabbit.org/faq/sections/diet.html
            http://www.rabbit.org/care/index.html

Read pretty much everything on that site, good info for new rabbit owners.

He is adorable though   no idea on breed/size

              Welcome mvidec84!

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the carney giving away live baby bunnies  ;-(, but on the other hand the bunny sure got lucky to get you for a bunny parent  😉

He is so cute and fluffy and tiny! Looks almost like a little stuffie. Stickerbunny gave you some good links to read, we have lots of info here on BinkyBunny too.

If you want to learn to ‘talk’ to the little dude, here’s a good site:  http://language.rabbitspeak.com/

There are some members who will no doubt be coming around with sharp sticks to poke you for more photos!

Yeah, he’s my little buddy.  It’s amazing how quick he made it into my heart.  Here’s everything the carny told me:  1.  it’s 6 weeks old.  2. it eats regular food.  3. go find your own box to take him home.  I did a lot of research the night i took it home and bought him a ton of stuff.  He eats a ton of the timothy hay, doesnt really like the feeder water bottle but drinks readily from a bowl.  Yeah there were like 10 little bunnies in this real tiny metal bottom cage.  He’s napping in his hammock in his pen right now…bit of a lifestyle change haha!  I just wish I knew more about him.  Vets are really expensive, but I’ll probably end up taking him.

Definitely take him. Providing vet care is a responsibility you can’t slack on now

Yes, you will need to find a vet, asap. Exotic care for rabbits is a little bit more expensive.

You can look in a phonebook for vets, or go to rabbit.org for a list of vets in the area. It is not uncommon to drive 30 minutes to an hour to see a vet. Rabbit vets maybe hard to come by, depending on location. Just be sure that the place sees rabbits on a weekly basis

Considering where he came from, it would be a very good idea to take him to a vet. You want to make sure he doesn’t have anything wrong with him.

Keeping my big animal rights mouth shut about the whole “bunny prize” thing, but am adding that he’s super adorable. I hope all the other bunnies end up with people who care enough to learn about them.

Welcome! He is a cutie!!! I love gray bunnies! I’m not agreeable to the way in which you came into possession of him, but I’m glad he went to someone who cares for his welfare and is willing to do the needed research to provide him the best. There is bunny info on the top banner of this website, and rabbit.org has articles about almost every aspect of rabbit care. Read up on what you can, and if you have any additional questions, please don’t hesitate to post a thread in the appropriate section.

His face shape looks “dwarfish” but his ears look larger… so he is probably some kind of mixed breed. Whatever he is, he is precious! And fortunately, care doesn’t vary between breeds. The only thing that really matters is weight to make sure he is not getting too much food.
