Hi there my rabbit was diagnosed 6 weeks ago with fur mites he has been treated for them. I just noticed today that on his back he had a flake and i picked it off and there is a circle. around the circle there is blood well its red. Is this a concern and should I call the vet tomorrow or is it from him just getting the shot there?

You mean where he had injections for the mites? One of my rabbits got that after mite treatment. A raised circle with dot in the middle where needle would have gone. They had 3 injections over 3 weeks. My male rabbit had some small scabs due to the mite themselves. Though when shedding, there can be tufts with a little skin attached.

It wouldn’t hurt to call and ask if that is normal at the injection site.
