So I did a little spring cleaning yesterday, although it is a little late to call it spring cleaning. I took the cage outside and scrubbed it down. When I was finished, I put it back and put all of the rabbit items back inside. I put the litter box in the back corner (directly across from the door) because that is where it was before. Well, this morning, I found that someone had moved the litter box to the front corner (directly beneath the door). And it was full of poop and pee. So I guess this is where they want to do their business now. Funny how they moved the litter box there so they could go in it in that spot (as opposed to just pooping outside the box).

Haha. I really need to do this with my cage. I also need to make the holes for the ramps bigger and replace the ramps. ( They’re bigger then they were when they were 6 months :p)

Haha, maybe they were setting their bed pan next to the door so it could be cleaned again! “Excuse me! Room Service!”

LOL! Maybe that’s it. I’ll actually have to empty it here soon, they filled it up pretty fast. They must do all their pooping at night now or something. There’s hardly anything in the box outside the cage.

I have been letting them keep the litter box in front of the door. Last night though, I thought I would be naughty. I moved the litter box to the back corner again just to see what would happen. Guess what! I found the litter box back in front of the door this morning. I’m pretty convinced that this is where they want the litter box now.

At least they’re being nice enough to move it instead of just using the spot without the box there

This is what I thought was so weird. The back corner where I put the litter box IS where they had preferred to do their business. I took the cage out and cleaned it top to bottom. All I did was put the litter box back where it was before. But ever since then, they have made it obvious that they don’t want the litter box in that corner anymore. It’s just funny, like you said, that they moved the litter box over to where they wanted to go instead of just going in that spot without the litter box there.
