We’ve been getting a lot of pea vines through our CSA (delicious!), and I’m wondering whether the Bun can have some… I always think peas/beans = bad for bunnies, but it just occurred to me that may not be true for the pea vines/leaves.  Most of the good/bad veggies lists don’t include pea vines, thought I’ve seem some “unofficial” lists on blogs that include them as an ok food.

Just curious whether anyone here has some thoughts on the matter?

        Thanks!

I’m not at all sure about this…maybe someone may know.

I don’t know either…This is a first I’ve ever heard of offering pea vines/leaves. The only thing I can do is ask my vet the next time I see her. Sorry!

No worries, thanks for the replies! I did try feeding him one small pea leaf, and he snarfed it down without hesitation… of course, that doesn’t mean it’s necessarily good for him!

As best I can tell, from digging around on the web, the pea vines/leaves are ok for rabbits, but since I can’t find anything “official”, I’ll proceed with caution.
