Hi there i went to tractor supply today to purchase equine fresh for my bunny. When i went in all i saw was equine pine. So i thought maybe they switched the bag so i picked some up. Came home and realized it is not equine fresh. Is it still ok to use or should i take it back and buy equine fresh?

Yep, perfectly fine. The pine is ok in this form because the harmful chemicals have been baked out as part of the pelleting process.

Well i went on there website and it said not to use it for small pets not to use the equine pine. So i guess i will have to stick to equine fresh. I added a little bit of aspen shavings. Has anyone else used these and what are your thoughts?

Plenty of people here use equine pine with no issues. I would guess that’s on their website as a disclaimer so that people can’t complain about it in relation to small animals. It’s fine as bunny litter.

Aspen shavings aren’t harmful, but they aren’t particularly absorbent and don’t make the best litter.
