I was looking through craigslist and ran across a post for a 3.5 year old female bunny. She is small looking and very cute. The person who owns her said she is free range in their house and it sounds like they have taken care of her well. I’ve emailed them for more info on her.

My question is if both females are spayed can they bond like a m/f pair would? Does the gender effect bonding greatly or just their personalities being able to mesh together?

Yes, they can. I’ve had a few female pairs and they bonded well. Monkeybun bonded her 2 females – Monkey and Smudge.

Always though, the best thing is to let your rabbit pick her own friend.

My 2 girls bonded well, they are adorable when they snuggle together

I think it does depend on the bunnies, sometimes females can get rather… cranky… with other females. One of the girls would have to be more submissive, thats for sure.
