Hi there my bunny is in my bedroom and in these summer months with the hot weather i am very concerned. I do have a thermometer in my room and it does read between 75-80 degrees. I put a wet towel and drape it over her cage and let the fan blow on it for part of the day. My question is i thought about buying an air conditioner my room is very tiny thought and the window is right across my bunnies cage. Then I thought of buying a ceiling fan and putting that in. Which would be better for her and is it neccesary to put either of them in?

If you live in an apartment, I would ask to see what the policies are if you get an AC. If you live in a house, i say, go for the AC.

When it gets hot, fans don’t quite cut it. We had to buy a portable AC unit, even though there are fans in every room, plus box fans we can put out too. Fans just move air, they don’t actually cool that much.

I don’t really have extra money so thats why I was just asking I do have an air conditionar in the room next to me that is on most of the time sometimes in the hall that seperates my room and the room with ac you can feel the cold air. i have been putting a damp towel over her one part of her cage and she seems to like that along with a frozen water bottle in a sock and ice cubes in her bowl.

Target has some air conditioners on sale I think it is less than $100. A good frozen water bottle or few works fine as well.

ok thanks so i put my window fan in and the room feels cooler is that ok? I don’t have xtra money to go buy an air conditioner and in my house you can’t run 2 air conditioners at the same time or it kicks the power off. So is the water bottles just the same? will the window fan be fine to?
